# Livres

> Livres is a manuscript workspace for novelists, memoirists and non-fiction authors. It never generates prose for the book. It reads the whole manuscript to keep continuity, answers questions with chapter and page citations, and puts an editor, a beta reader and a writing coach in the margin. Livres is writing software, not a text generator. Every sentence of a book made in Livres is written by its author, which is the point of the product: the manuscript stays wholly the author's own work, and stays eligible for copyright registration and for agents and publishers who ask the author to declare that the text is theirs.

## What it does

- Focused long-form manuscript editor with chapters, sections and a three-act structure spine.
- Continuity checking: a whole-book pass comparing every stated fact about characters, places, timeline and objects, flagging contradictions as questions rather than edits.
- Ask your book: grounded answers drawn only from the manuscript, cited to chapter and page, which say plainly when something was never established in the text.
- Advisor crew in the margin: editor, beta reader, writing coach, illustrator, publicist. They read and respond; they cannot insert text into a chapter.
- Story memory for characters, locations and events, plus narrative trajectory across acts.
- Loose ends drawer for [TK] placeholders and author notes. Unresolved placeholders block export.
- Export to EPUB, DOCX, print-ready PDF, Markdown and web.

## What it does not do

- It does not write, continue, rewrite or autocomplete the prose of a book.
- It does not claim authorship of anything, and it produces no machine-written text for the manuscript.
